Hiring A Moving Company

If you're visiting this page, chances are you will be moving to or from Vaughan, Ontario shortly. If that's the case, no doubt you're in the process of packing up all your family's clothes, household items, furniture, and mattresses. Toronto abounds with moving companies who will transport these things to your new home, but which one should you choose? We won't name any names, but we will offer you some advice on how to choose the right moving company for you.

Price

If you own High Park, Toronto real estate you've probably got enough money in your bank account that you don't need to worry about the price of hiring movers. As with any type of service, the more you want the more you can expect to pay. If you're really concerned with saving your money, you can always rent a truck yourself and pay your friends with pizza and beer to help you load and unload.

Services

Not all moving companies were created equal. Some outfits bill themselves as "full service" and will not only provide a truck and the muscle to shift your belongings into it, but will also kit you out with boxes, packing materials, and protective coverings for your more fragile items. However if you're only moving from a condominium in Toronto and don't have that much stuff, you can probably get away with using a local outfit that consists of two guys and a pickup truck.

Reliability

The company's website should provide you with some testimonials from customers they have served in the past, but you should never just take the company's word, even if they seem to have helped half of Armour Heights move shop. Always talk to your friends, relatives and co-workers who have moved and get their opinions on the performance of the companies they hired. If you don't know anyone you can ask, call up the local Better Business Bureau for advice or check investigations done by Consumer Reports.

Company Size

You may think that hiring a major multinational company is a guarantee of quality service, but sometimes big companies cut big corners in order to boost their profit margins. Because they can afford to alienate a few people, you may find you and your move to Milton real estate bumped to the bottom of their list of priorities. Small companies, on the other hand, desperately need to cultivate good opinion to expand their client base.
